Parts of a Refrigerator

There aren’t many homes that do not feature a refrigerator in the kitchen. It has been a must-own appliance for several years. A residential refrigerator stores food at the right temperature, to stop rotting and slow down the growth of harmful bacteria. The process of refrigeration starts by transferring the warmth from the inside of the unit to the exterior, by relying on principles of evaporation and condensation.

The components of a refrigerator are. For questions or service call All-Tech Appliance Repair:

Compressor

The refrigerator compressor is a combination of a pump and motor, and it is need for circulation of refrigerant in the system.
The compressor is a very important piece of a refrigerator. Homeowners should enlist a professional service if the compressor is broken.

Condenser

A condenser is located on the rear outside panel of the appliance and will help to disperse the warmth built-up from inside the refrigerator out to the surrounding air.

Evaporator

The evaporator is located on the interior of a refrigerator where it absorbs the warmth trapped within it, thereby lowering the temperature inside the refrigerator.

Once the evaporator stops working, it’s time to hire a professional. Don’t wait too long.

Expansion Device

Liquid refrigerant is directed within a capillary tube which acts as an expansion tool to cool the gas, thereby turning it into a liquid.

Thermostat

A thermostat regulates the temperature throughout the refrigerator, starting a new cooling period when it is necessary.

A thermostat inside of a refrigerator is prone to malfunction. Troubleshoot and call a contractor in CITY for repair right when a problem occurs.

How Does Refrigeration Work?

1. When the temperature within a refrigerator rises above the set point sensors alert the refrigerator compressor to begin, and the cool down begins. The unit attracts the cool liquified refrigerant, then pressurizes and condenses it, and raises the temperature, in order to turn it into a gas.

2. The refrigerator compressor pushes the heated gas towards the condenser coils located on the exterior of the unit, where it comes in contact with the lower temperature in the kitchen and reverts to a liquid state.

3. The cool refrigerant continues on its journey towards the refrigerator evaporator component, making its way through the many coils in the inside of the refrigerator and freezer compartment.

4. The coolant then absorbs the hot air from inside the appliance, thereby returning the temperature until it has reached the best final point.

5. The refrigerant will evaporate, and will return back into a gas form, and returns to the compressor unit so it can then continue the cycle.

Refrigeration technology is used in a lot of applications and appliances, this includes heat pumps, air conditioners, refrigerators and freezers. By removing warmth from one location and transferring it to a different one the cycle of refrigeration contributes in cooling a house, creates a safe environment for food that is perishable, and also helps with the manufacturing and storage of a lot of different everyday products and materials.
